Driving down Veteran's Memorial and looking up to see the Atlanta skyline on the horizon always makes me smile. I smile because I know we made the right decision when we chose to lay down our roots in South Cobb. This is our home and its worth fighting for. I have lived in Cobb County the last eleven years. In 2018, my husband myself, my nephew-son, and our two malti-poos chose to purchase a home in Mableton. Moving from Smyrna, there were definitely things in Mableton we thought were needed but they didn't outweigh what we were gaining. A home to call our own, on about 1.5 acres of land and neighbors who have become family. On a more personal note about me, I am an attorney but not before I am a wife, an auntie, a daughter and a sister and of course a dog mom. I come from a long standing family of Veterans, with my grandfather , an Army vet, being awarded a purple heart and my father and my sister also having served in the same branch, while my aunt and her husband recently retired from the Navy after serving over 40 years. I have multiple degrees (JD, MS, BS), own a sports league and sit on the board of directors of a non-profit, but I am not defined by any of those things. I love to write poetry, cook, watch old black and white shows, spend time with my family and give counsel to those in need. I fancy myself as a change agent and an advocate for those in need. I love South Cobb but I don't like the lack of consideration its been given over the last few administrations. I want to change that. I want to move us in a direction that puts a smile on our faces no matter where we are in Cobb. I want our decision to settle in Cobb to forever be the right decision. I want and will fight for my Community. I want Cobbunity.
